In the article, the author draws attention to the relevance of the problem of psychological security of employees of the penitentiary system, in particular, employees of operational units. The purpose of the study is to reveal the importance of psychological security of employees of operational units of the FPS of Russia for improving the efficiency of official activity, to propose and justify recommendations on the organization of psychological work in this direction. The methodological basis of the study was the methods of analysis, synthesis, processing of statistical information, the comparative method. As a result of the work carried out, it was noted that the psychological security of the employees of the operational services of the FPS of Russia is connected not only with the normative consolidation of guarantees of their safety, but also with the implementation of a set of measures of psychological and pedagogical influence aimed at preventing their criminal encroachments. These decisions will have a positive impact on the efficiency of the performance of official tasks by employees of operational units. In conclusion, the main directions of work and practical recommendations on psychological security of employees of operational units of the FPS of Russia are proposed. Conclusions are drawn about the need to improve psychological measures to ensure the safety of employees of operational units.
