Abstract (English):
The article reveals the role of the public procurement system in ensuring food security of institutions of the penal system. The current trends in the structure of food purchases to meet the needs of the penal system and the risks that arise in this case are shown. Using the example of canned meat purchases, the importance of expertise as an effective tool for the formation of food security in institutions of the penal system is shown.
