PSYCHOSOCIAL APPROACH IN THE REHABILITATION AND SOCIAL ADAPTATION OF CONVICTS
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The article considers the issue of a psychosocial approach to the re- socialization and social adaptation of convicts released from correctional institutions as one of the conditions for returning to society. It is noted that the psychosocial approach to the resocialization and social adaptation of convicts in society has a number of features that activate convicts to constant systematical work on themselves, to increase the level of adaptation and reduce the risks of committing new crimes. It is emphasized that the introduction of a psychosocial approach into the process of resocialization and social adaptation of convicts will significantly increase the effectiveness of their correction. This will contribute not only to the integration of convicts into labor relations, but also to the restoration of socially useful ties, as well as their successful entry into a law-abiding social environment. The psychosocial approach to the resocialization and social adaptation of convicts is a comprehensive, multifaceted strategy that provides opportunities for personal growth and reintegration into society. Effective implementation of this approach can significantly reduce the crime rate and improve the quality of life of both former convicts and their environment. The study of successful practices and the development of new methods within the framework of a psychosocial approach continue to be urgent tasks for specialists in this field.
