FEATURES OF CORRECTION OF THE EMOTIONAL SPHERE OF CONVICTS AT VARIOUS STAGES OF SERVING THEIR SENTENCE

Abstract (English):
The article examines the peculiarities of the emotional sphere of convicts at various stages of serving their sentences. The purpose of the study is a psychological assessment of the emotional sphere of convicts, the development and testing of a program for psychocorrection of the emotional sphere of convicts at various stages of serving their sentences. The empirical study was conducted on the basis of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Perm Region. The sample consisted of 72 convicts aged 22 to 40 years. The following psychodiagnostic tools were used: Well-being, activity, mood (SAN), Individual typological questionnaire (ITO); The scale of emotional stability-instability of G. Eysenck; The Bass–Darkey aggressiveness questionnaire; The Life Satisfaction Index (IJ) test in adaptation by N. V. Panina. As a result, the features of the emotional sphere of convicts inherent in all three stages of serving a sentence were revealed, namely: increased aggressiveness, anxiety, instability of the emotional state, low mood background. The formative experiment was aimed at correcting the emotional sphere of convicts at various stages of serving their sentences, the results obtained after the psychocorrection program showed its effectiveness.
