The article examines the problem of psychological characteristics of female minors sentenced to probation. The relevance of the study is confirmed by the large number of crimes committed by female minors. The purpose of the study is to study the psychological characteristics of the personality of female minors before and after using the psychological correction program. The empirical study was conducted on the basis of the criminal enforcement inspections of Ryazan, the Ryazan region, Tambov, the Tambov region, the Republic of Mordovia and the Moscow region. 46 female minors who were sentenced to probation took part in it. The research methods were: analysis of personal files, observation, survey, testing. The following psychoagnostic tools were used as research methods: observation, analysis of personal files, testing (16-factor personality questionnaire of P. Kettell; "Personal questionnaire of moral and legal reliability" of E. Y. Stri- zhov; "Morphological test of life values" of V. F. Sopov, L. V. Karpushina; "Readiness for risk" of G. Schubert; "Diagnosis of socio-psychological adaptation" of K. Rogers). In order to process the data obtained, the computer program Psychometric Expert (version 9.2.6) and factor analysis were used. The scientific and practical result of the work was the confirmation of changes in the components of psychological characteristics by achieving significant and statistically significant changes in each of the components of psychological characteristics. The following psychological features have significant dynamics: the need to comply with moral norms, the values of preserving individuality, professional life and hobbies, general socio-psychological adaptation, as well as self-acceptance and internal control (internality).
