The article deals with the organization and holding of the International scientific and practical Conference "Modern penitentiary practice: educational, social and psychological work". It is indicated that the scientific event structurally consisted of a plenary session, three breakout sessions, and four master classes. The conference gathered about 130 participants from various regions of Russia and abroad, both in face-to-face and remote formats. The main issues discussed at each thematic site are presented, as well as the substantive component of the participants' speeches. It is noted that an exhibition of scientific literature and a demonstration of videos were held in the context of the conference topic.
