The article presents analytical data on self-attitude as a component of selfawareness in adolescence and the results of an empirical study of the self-attitude of adolescents raised in single-parent families. Theoretical methods (analysis, comparison, generalization), experimental methods (diagnostic ‒ Self-attitude research methodology (MIS) (S. R. Panteleev), ascertaining experiment), mathematical methods (nonparametric statistical criterion U-Mann ‒ Whitney criterion) to obtain individual data and process it for reliability. As a result of a survey of teenagers aged 13–15, it was revealed that from single-parent families they are more closed, less self-confident, attached to their opinions, prone to excessive self-examination and self-blame. It is also noted that teenagers from incomplete and complete families have self-worth and a positive attitude towards themselves, this unites them and gives positive hopes for the development of a psychologically healthy personality.
